Fish Tacos and The Fifth of May
I never have celebrated Cinco de Mayo. What can I say, I am not a Mexican. But I have started eating lunch at the Cantina located across the street from my work. I wouldn't eat there for a long time because fish tacos are listed first on the menu. Finally I got tired of driving to get lunch and that was enough motivation to actually read the menu past the fish tacos to find that I like most of what they offer. And so for lunch on Cinco de Mayo I ate the Cuban Sandwich.
I usually get off work at 5. On the fifth of May at around 4:30 one of my bosses called from the afore mentioned Cantina and offered free drinks to any of us that would bother to cross the street. Needless to say I was the first one over. I just had time for one margarita before I had to head home.
I had planned to meet up with the bloggers at Roho's after Angelbaby went to bed. But HD called and said "Don't bother, we're leaving." I was a little disappointed but it turned out to be a good thing. I went to Moe's Tacos in Trussville where I found Matt Grindberg to be the attending manager.
Matt was a former member of the circle of friends from good old HHS. For those of you that know who he is, the rumors are true. He is married with 1 year old boy/girl twins. And he's still a hot ass.
But that is not all, oh no, that is not all. Matt and I worked together for a spell back at Seattle Connection Cafe. Once it closed down I lost touch with the owner who I always went to visit long after I stopped working there. Matt informed me that said owner now owns some Italian joint behind Club South. I haven't been able to get by there yet but I plan to visit as soon as possible.
